At the end of one of the numerous footpaths that make Oakridge Lynch such a quirky little village, is our smallest cottage, Blandfords.

  • Sunny south-facing garden
  • 1 bathroom
  • Conservatory
  • Shaker kitchen
  • 2 shower rooms
  • Dining room (seating up to 12)
  • Comfy sitting room

Areas

The table is big enough for additional guests and can seat up to 12 in comfort. There are lovely south facing views over the garden and the valley beyond. The conservatory opens directly onto the decking.

This is a romantic, cosy bedroom with a vaulted ceiling that makes it feel light and airy. The zip and link beds can be separated to suit singles or zipped together to form a king. This bedroom shares the family shower room along the corridor.

Decorated in pale blue with black slate work tops, this pretty kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. It is open plan with the sitting room and leads into the dining room. This means that the cook is never far away from the action.

What better way to spend a winter's day than curled up in front of a log fire with a good book? The inglenook fireplace in Blandfords is a large, impressive one; the huge log burner has doors that open wide so you can sit and look at the flames but which close up for safety when you go to bed at night.

Additional Information

Good Housekeeping magazine chose Blandfords for their Christmas shoot in 2000 and called it 'the perfect country cottage'. It's not perfect, nothing is, but it is a delightful bolthole for relaxing and a terrific base for touring the Cotswolds and the Heart of England
