Details
The layout of the house is impossible to describe on paper because of the intriguing way it grew from its origins as a simple one up, one down stone cottage, way back in the 16th century.
Over the years, it has been added to and altered and now has 7 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom, 4 ensuite bathrooms, 1 ensuite shower room, a family bathroom and a cloakroom.
All beds are zip and link so suitable for singles or couples.
Additional sleeping space can be found on a sofa bed in the gallery.
There are 2 sitting rooms, a room for board games, a dining room big enough to seat up to 28 [30 at a squash] and a family room attached to the kitchen.
The kitchen is well equipped with modern, labour-saving appliances and there is a separate pantry for extra supplies.
All creature comforts are present in an atmosphere that evokes the time that the house was built.
This is a great house for gatherings, both in winter when log fires beckon and in summer when the lovely garden is a marvellous place to relax. |
